Freedom Foam

Operation Freedom Foam

It began as a soft whisper…

A United States Marine stationed in Afghanistan longed to share some Dog n Suds Root Beer with his fellow soldiers. There was a call, and it was answered in 2 minutes by a local Lafayette citizen willing to step up and help get this soldier some suds.

Operation Freedom Foam was born from a phone call and a commitment by the folks at Dog n Suds to facilitate the purchase and shipment of 5 cases of Root Beer from Lafayette to Afghanistan.

1 case turned into five, as donations began pouring in from gracious members of the community, whose goal was to spread a taste of home to a base so far away. Dog n Suds quickly set up an online donation portal at Operation Freedom Foam, allowing donors to send money from far away or to use a credit card.

Having seen the outpouring of gratitude from the local community, the manufacturer of Dog n Suds Root Beer offered to donate a pallet of Dog n Suds 20oz. Bottles. The young marine who made the request has donated $500 of his personal money to the cause. Our hope is this..To raise enough money to cover the cost of shipping the root Beer as well as enough extra to return $500 to Jordan for his savings.

A Very Special Thank You to the Men and Women of our Armed Forces, To Jordan Fetcher for his Part, Mike Hicks for starting the ball rolling and to Clover Club Bottling Company in Chicago Illinois for donating the Root Beer!

So what say you Lafayette? Can we count on you for a donation?

Operation Freedom Foam continues…

The outpouring of support has been truly amazing, what began as a whisper has quickly become a roar with donations coming in from across America, patriots, former soldiers, Dog n Suds fans and total strangers have been touched and called into action…
