Dog n Suds Sign
One thing, other than our awesome food and great service, has remained the same since opening day and that is The Dog n Suds sign standing proudly over the drive-in. The 8 foot tall porcelain sign is fully adorned with neon outlining Rover and the words “Dog n Suds”. Sitting atop the sign is a large stainless steel flashing arrow. There were 10 original signs made prior to the logo being changed due to copyright infringement. The version at the Lafayette Dog n Suds is a newer example, we also have a pretty good idea where to find one of the last remaining examples of an older version. The signs had several add on options from the manufacturer, these included the flashing arrow, a marquee board and am add on sign that read “Charco-burger”.
